Military area â€" Access forbidden

I'm fascinated by these places. Nothing obvious to see here and still entry forbidden. A passer-by told us that this was a former military barracks, but that now it was used by “normal” industries.

In July my son and I explored the industrial areas of the Czech Republic. The visit to Příbram was one of the high points of the expedition. We explored and photographed the ancient mine tunnels, the heating factory, the uranium mines, the communist concentration camp and a semi deserted (ex) military area. Everything was very photogenic and full of great textures. It is wry and ironic that evil landscapes have more character than good ones.
