Question by Anna M: how difficult is it for westerns to obtain birth control in Saudi Arabia?

we will be living on a Western compound. I know that Saudi Arabia has different rules about birth control than the US. But I am having a hard time obtaining enough birth control to last me a year in Saudi. Any ideas or suggestions?
Ok, so you can get it over the counter...how expensive is it? My insurance here in the states does not want to pay for more than three months and one month w/out insurance is .

In Saudi Arabia you can buy birth control pills over the counter in any pharmacy.

edit: your insurance pays for birth control?
Sorry, do not know the price, just can tell you that these pills and also other medicine is much cheaper than in USA or Europe. So, even when you do not reimburse your insurance, it won't hurt you.
